Style.com is my favorite and most visited site. I thought Rachel Zoe's picks for the fall 2010 Shopping Guide were a little crackheaded. I actually like the models' picks the best, like Hanne Gaby Odiele's and Tati Cotliar's (see amazing shoes below) and Hanneli Mustaparta's.

Happy 4th everyone! I know I'm a day late. I spend my 4th washing my closet and swimming in my friends pool when she wasn't home. It is so hot here. I have to clean out my closets and throw all my old clothes and shoes away :( I found this snake scarf I knit years ago. I thought it was cute.

This is NOT how Kristen Stewart usually looks! It was refreshing to see her wear something not black. BONUS: she's even smiling! I liked her Elie Saab dress a lot. Usually I'm not into the one shouldered look, but I thought it was a great change from her usual and I thought she looked great at the eclipse premiere. (p.s. I think I'm about to be a freak and see eclipse at midnight)

What I did yesterday:

I finished making this dress!

My friend came over and asked if I'd made anything lately, I showed him this and his only response was: "Oh it's really little.." Haha great, thanks. Hopefully you guys come up with some better comments! It would be greatly appreciated.

Then later, I got this book from the library. So far I've read the section about designers, I really like it they have interviews with lots of amazing designers from Kate and Laura Mulleavy at Rodarte (love them!) to Marc Jacobs. There's also great pictures and it even has fashion/art schools in the back for references. It's really great I suggest it if you're looking into a career in fashion. There's chapters for design, editing, styling, modeling, beauty, and photography. So any of those fields if you're interested you should check it out!

Best resort collection I've seen yet. I liked the great prints and wearability; it was very Marc but very resort at the same time. And I liked that a lot. I really like the shoes in the first and second pictures. And did anyone notice the two models were sisters? Kirby and Ann Kenny. All these pictures have Kirby in them, but you should definitely check out the rest of the collection here, it's worth your time.

I bought these two long skirts because I liked the print on the fabric and I will make something out of them! The first skirt I like just as it is though. I am also wearing sunglasses because I always have to wear sunglasses when I drive because people are suspicious of my age if I don't.

(I'm barely 16 just got my license but I don't need people to know that)

I am going to look to Anna Sui for inspiration in modifying my huge printed skirts. Anna sure does know how to rock a print!

P.S. guys I haven't talked about music in a little while, but I like to, so here's what I've been into these days! It's from F21. I usually try to stay away from there these days to avoid looking like a middle schooler, but my sister wanted to go (she is in middle school) and I found this dress and really liked it.

Okay I think I've mentioned this before, but I really want to start taking my own street style shots. Yesterday I saw someone dressed in a white mini dress with fake blood all over herself trying to channel Lady Gaga. I desperately wished I had a camera with me, but I didn't. This is what I wore today, can't see it very well (rawr webcam) but its a white dress that I really like with netting near the bottom, down the sides, and on the top. I took apart one of my many unworking vintage watches, it had a boring band just a black strap so i cut it off, and put it on a chain and attached a bead to the end. I made it this morning because I wanted to wear a cool necklace today. Mission accomplished!

Tonight I had no homework! YESS! My AP history class does nothing now that the AP test is over, we watched Forrest Gump! hows that for class? (actually I do have homework, I'm supposed to read catcher in the rye but I read it over the summer so i'm just going to count that as reading it and pretend I don't have homework hehe) So I've been wanting to make use of these ill fitting courduroy red pants. I also sometimes like to have a backpack instead of my tokidoki bag, and I do NOT like my pink bunny backpack anymore. I know my webcam sucks, but basically this is a little courduroy backpack I made with a tie in the front (and back but you can't see it). The tie is made from the handles of a juicy couture giftbag. Resourceful, no?

p.s. I still have no idea why my family's desktop lives in the kitchen, I broke my camera too, so you get to see my refridgerator in the background of all my pics. Classy is my middle name. Ha.

So, it seems to me like Proenza Schouler's pre-fall was one of the best. I think it's kinda cool, but I don't know whats wrong with me these days I just can't get too excited about it. I was just chillin doing my homework and I hear one of my 2 daily favorite songs (bad romance lady gaga) coming from my living room.

I walk over, clearly distracted from my homework, and ask my sister who is watching America's Next Top Model; "what exactly is Lady Gaga's voice doing in our living room?"

She replied saying: "geezlizz shes going to be on gossip girl on sunday its just a commercial"

I just told my mom and my sister that this was going to be the happiest day of my life and they kind of looked at me funny. My mom said something like :"aight Lizz whatever" (because that is exactly how my mom talks) and my sister freaked out with :"EEW LIZZ SHE'S DISGUSTING"

but I love her and no one can take this epiphany away from me.

And now I have to get back to some serious homework.

Oh yeah and if you feel like reading words right now, the title is because earlier I was talking to my friend about how in middle school, the cool kids spent lunch in the science room. 'We' hung out in the art room during lunch with the weird anime loving Ian Perrin. This kid Ian practically beat up another kid for pronouncing manga wrong.

I like to think he made improvement on his social skills since the 6th grade.

So according to YouTube, the premier of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance was at the Alexander McQueen show!? I feel a little stupid for not knowing this sooner, especially because I looked at all the clothes from the collection and everything, but never watched a video and I MISSED OUT! I never saw those crane thingies before and they are pretty sweet, or noticed the backgrond music. I learned my lesson: to watch videos of runway shows!!

Oh I had to post the legitimate video too. It's super creepy/very Lady Gaga/creeeepy/a sexy vodka ad?? plus she burns the guy, which reminded me of the Medea, hehehee!!

oh yeah and p.s. check out the outfit at approximately 3:27...recognize it?!?!? MCQUEEN! DUH!

I'm going to start this off by saying..

I looove tokidoki! Its so cute and fun, but in a weird way. I don't think I've told you guys this yet but, last year I discovered tokidoki.it, and loved it! and then later, I found a tokidoki bag waayyy on sale and I was so excited!

and so I got it, and now I use it every day and I enjoy it very much.

I don't have any other tokidoki stuff, because its quite expensive unfortunately

I am not very into trends, at all, and this is why:

I was really into clogs in middle school. I feel like a lot of 'trends' are aimed at the middle/high school age group, which is kinda stupid. In my opinion.

Like do you remember a few years ago, when ponchos were really in?

I had one, I wont lie, but i was in 5th grade.

When those 50 year olds started running around in ponchos because it was a 'trend' it became just plain creepy.

I don't think this shoe is attractive in any way, personally, although I probably would have really enjoyed it in middle school!

So I got this random print fabric. Again.

What I would wear if I was could afford it

Today has been a long day. I am very excited for saturday though, so my mood will turn around eventually. Anyway, I thought I would let you know what I would wear to school everyday if I could afford stuff like this, so enjoy.

So I realized I hadn't made a polyvore set in a while, and it's really fun to make them so I thought I would. There's a Comme des Garcons skirt, Bottega Veneta cutout platforms, a topshop hat, and a Kate Spade owl bag. I'm kind of into owls for some reason. They're kinda stealthlike and creepy cool.

This has got some other cool stuff like Preen skirts, and other fun stuff. I really like Preen, most people probably wouldn't think I would be into the minimalist look, but I actually am.

Its a good look for everybody.

I would also like to comment on the difference between having style and being into fashion. I know a girl last year, who was a senior in high school, where I was a freshman. And she loved fashion. Loved it. But she wasn't stylish really. She knew so much about designers, and she is the beginning reason of a series of chain effects of why I started this blog.

She is incredibly knowledgeable about fashion, but she often wore T-shirts and things to school, so people would say things like her like:"ohh heyy you're not actually into fashion because you're wearing a t shirt to sckhooweael."

I was thinking earlier about how much I miss this girl (I think about her in orchestra almost every day, I am not creepy) because she doesn't go to school with me anymore when I thought I should right a post about her.

There are also girls at school who are very stylish. Being stylish to me is more about looking good, and knowing what looks good on you. But not necessarily knowing a ton about designers and fashion. In a way, I think of fashion as art, and style as clothes.

Fashion has so much inspiration and ingenuity behind it, and I think of it as an art form, not like "HAY I went to H&M earlier and got the coooolest skirt ever!!"

(I have probably said those exact words before)
